hmmm... Previously I wasn't even considering this game since I don't like mmo's that require grouping but if it's mainly single player I might pick this up. Actually that reminds me; should cancel my LotRO account already.

A WoW denter, but hardly a killer
And WoW has been out how long where many people have come and gone already and ToR has been out how long? Laughable to say it is a WoW killer. No I never subsribed to WoW, but I have watched its unprecented rise to gaming stardom
its a lot more than 300k, 300k is just for one quarter.
wow has been shedding an average of a 100k subscriptions per month since Cataclysm came out. this is why they are pushing Panda land out really fast.

And the funny part is that in every new game, certain areas become the new Barrens Chat, and sure enough last night there I was, and everyone was talking about WoW..
Every MMO since WoW launched, as soon as it starts people chat about either:
1) How this new game got this feature right, unlike WoW
2) This is just like that one quest in WoW
3) It would be cool to have (insert random) feature, like in WoW
4) My WoW toon was so powerful, I could kill all of you by just looking at you, don't even question it.

If find it a bit sad the WoW is the benchmark for quality MMO.
Kind of like Britney Spears being the benchmark for quality music.
