This is always the case near launch. Just about every decent MMO (Not counting random F2P ones) I've played the last 2-3 years have been at capacity or very close to it around launch. Most have had queues the first week~.
but how many of them controlled the number of people allowed to play?
they KNEW who they were letting in and they still had full servers and queues.

End Game Content.
Not many MMO's are so terrible that playing them for 30-90 is not fun, not many are good enough to retain a large population longer than that. I hope SWTOR is, ill pick it up in Feb/March if it looks like it's still going strong.
