When you juxtapose Obama's opinion and plan:
Things are getting better, we can fix this, we have already taken huge steps in doing so, lets get off our asses and get to work, invest in America, support the workers in this country, USA EFF YEAH!
With the GOP's opinion and plan:
We are totally and completely screwed. We are broke, can't fix it, cut everything (except the military of course). Get rid of medicare and social security, kick all the lazy SOB's off food stamps, cut taxes, cut regulations, go back to the way things were when everything was perfect and everyone was happy in the 1940's....but with lower taxes, and some of us might survive....maybe
It isn't hard to see which way this election is going to go.
I know the "conservative" base thrives on doom, paranoia, and fear...but that's only because they are sick, twisted, and frightened little people....as evidenced by their flocking to a disgraced serial adulterer, liar, quitter, and DC insider and lobbyists...as their "family values, strong, honest, and not part of the establishment" candidate.
Go for it.

He might have to try a little with Romney, but he'd still win, no doubt.
The problem with the GOP at the moment is that the closer they get to mainstream popularity the more they look like Obama. For whatever reason, they HATE Obama and simply cannot accept the man could do anything right, even if he does something they would do. It's hilarious to watch.
The GOP is in meltdown mode and they cannot field a popular candidate. Two years ago they had a sure win this time around and they've completely thrown the opportunity away. This election has gone from being the Republicans' to lose to being Obama's to lose. The only way Obama will lose now is if the unemployment figures go back up to 10%, and even then it would be iffy considering the GOP alternatives.

There is no one worth voting for in the entire field of Republicans, nor is Obama worth voting for. He wins by default. Who cares which idiot is in charge of not getting anything worthwhile done?

A lot of worthwhile stuff is getting done.....even though every "conservative" in congress is trying their hardest to make sure everything stays screwed up so they can keep screaming doom and gloom and everything is ruined and can never be fixed.
