News flash! Diabetics do eat cheeseburgers. We just need to stay away from carbs and sugar so a cheeseburger with a whole grain bun is definitely okay for us.

Heck my grandmother is a type 1 diabetic with an insulin pump and she doesn't shy away from cheeseburgers. She's pretty health conscious (she has to be, but then she's been living with this since she was 21) but the pump has given her MUCH more freedom over what, when, and how much she eats than before when the only option was insulin shots.
On another note, though- anyone besides me think the most recent pictures of her look better than the "pre-diabetic announcement" pics? I could never walk by the magazine racks and look at her smiling on the cover of whatever mag without getting creeped out. Between the wide-wide-open eyes, pink lipstick and plastic looking face, she looked like some kind of freakish robot or something. Yikes. At least she looks like a real person in the more recent pics.
