I guess att has been upgrading infrastructure around here.
when I first moved here in 08 it was 1.5 meg so I signed up for cable internet, it was fast but expensive and unstable every time the wind blew hard it would drop out.
a year later they had 3 meg and now they have 6 meg.
they are laying fiber all over the place so hopefully u-verse is coming.
