For those of you who "could", I assure you as someone who did, it is not easy and even after many years, I remember the discomfort.
Most people who say that they have done it, cheated and used skim milk.
edit: And nothing is impossible, but I really find it hard to believe that so many people on ACF could do it "easily" when tens of thousands have
tried and puked over the years on college campuses across the country.

I'm surprised no one mentioned the Saltine Challenge.
I think it's like...
Eat 10 Saltine crackers in a minute. No water, have to swallow them too.

i'm betting there are weight lifters out there who have done the gallon of whole milk thing and don't even realize they're accomplishing some sort of urban accomplishment. guy i know at my local total nutrition store (weight lifters supplement shop) was downing it from the jug like mad when i was in there last week and he went through most of the gallon while i was there and he was eating something while he was chugging it too.

See there is the secret as to why he was able to do it.
It is actually scientifically impossible for anyone under 300lbs to drink a gallon of whole milk in under 1 hour without vomiting. Those who claim they have done it or they could do it... are liars. The reason for this is because of the chemical disparity it causes inside the stomach. Your stomach is full of acid, milk is a base. Granted its a very light base, but a base none-the-less. The reason why a little bit of milk has no effect is because it doesn't change the ph balance very much. A full gallon of whole milk actually effects the balance to the point where it changes the contents inside into a base mixture. Thus causing the stomach to react and expel the poison. Should you somehow manage to keep that gallon down (your stomach won't let you don't worry) drinking a second full gallon could kill you.
