maybe there are gods of transportation making you late to work with traffic and mechanical failures. curse the gods of public transportation! i sometimes say to myself when i'm being crammed into a tin can.

surely there are weather gods.
i prefer to cover all my bases. thankfully i did not receive a point mutation in my dna methytransferase-1 gene which causes primordial dwarfism. nope, i got all the way to 5 foot 8. thank you gods of dna replication.

You should look up St. Augustine's confessions. I found it quite enriching as it addressed those matters.
