Oh yes, and New York fans are very forgiving and loyal when it comes to local teams that suck. Not buying it just on real estate value. 
But if they can get away with f'ing fans out of that dough and fans are dumb enough to fork it over, a match made in "fools and their money are soon parted" heaven.

I can get grizzlies tickets in the fedex forum for $5 the day of basically every game in the season...of course, it's sitting in the nosebleed section.
or $12 for the seats right at the railing on the top platform I think. The only time I've ever sat on the main level was for a game that had a christian concert afterwards, and my Mom had gotten some tickets cheap beforehand. or for stuff that wasn't for the NBA.
come watch the grizzlies play, tickets are pretty cheap here
