Bad weel to have a bad week to be sure, but they were clearly the best team in the league this year.

regular season gets you to the post season and that is all.
post season matters, it's not like it's the beginning days when best record got you the title.

If he can play, I don't see him playing for anyone other than the Colts.

If he can play, he will be a Colt.
If he can't play, he will retire and perhaps after another year off pull a Favre.

He isn't the billionth of the AW Farvre was/is

Yeah, he's a billion more.

so far off base that it's pathetic you even say that.

how many national press conferences has Manning himself called to state how he is doing?

Yeah Peyton is by no way in a long shot as bad as Favre. Just comparing them together is just... mean

Peyton implied he'd retire if the Colts cut him in an article I read a week or two back. He wants to play his whole career with one team -- he talked about how everyone else is getting cut or fired, and how he doesn't know if they'll keep him around, but he doesn't want to just say, "I'm retiring."

He wont retire, and he wont be playing for the Colts. They'd be dumb to not cut him.
