I tried facebook, but it's still much easier to find lonely women on myspace.

No, but I think they should offer a token amount of shares for purchase to every user to solidify each user's interest in continuing to use the service.

I didnt read the article, but WTF? Have FB users really become so entitled that they think they should basically be PAID to use the website?!

the issue is facebook is using people's personal information plus likes and dislikes to sell ad's.

i dont see the problem with it, if they want to use my info to make money then i should get a cut, facebook needs its user base.....

look what happened to myspace, when it became bloated with ad's etc.....everybody fled to facebook.

You know companies have been using their customers info for YEARS in advertising, right? Should they all be giving their customers a cut of the profits?

Also, when you sign up for FB, it's right there in the user agreement, that they will use demographic info for advertising. It's not like they're taking your pictures and slapping them into ad's, now is it? They're basically using things like your likes and dislikes for targeted advertising, which is by far NOT a new thing. Like i said, companies have been doing similar things for years.

No. Why should they? They're lucky they haven't charged a fee and instead went with advertising (and selling your personal information)

I don't care if the random "information" I put on there gets sold and why the hell would it make sense to give users money for a website they elected to put information on. It's ridiculous to even think that.

Ads are what keeps facebook free. Would you rather pay a monthly premium to use it? Or would you prefer they made money off ads?
