Interestingly enough I can totally handle the books, even the ones that are seriously messed up. I think it's because I can put my own mental image to things and "tone it down" if I need to. Can't do that with someone else's visual imagery being lambasted at me.

Without the personal attacks that are apparently overlooked by some here.....


I would have to say the original Salem's lot scared the beJesus out of a lot of people, not me though cause I tough.

I saw Salem's Lot as a kid. Jesus, I couldn't sleep with the lights off for months. I actually lobbied my dad for wallpaper with crosses as a pattern.

"IT" scared the daylights out of me when I was a teen and watched it, I've tried to watch it since then and couldn't lol! Love me some scary movies but that one seriously terrified me.

The Thing, Alien, The Shining... great old school horror. The shock-jock blood fests never really worked for me. I need noises and shadows and creepy music. Or Jack Nicholson with an ax, lol.
