I've considered it. I might do it for charity, as that's pretty much the only reason my workplace would be likely to tolerate it. Hubby wouldn't like it much, though.

I'd do it for charity, for sure. Ditto for fashion. One of my daughters asked if we'd let her shave her head and we said sure. She didn't take us up on the offer, though, hah. I've thought about doing it before, and there are really only two huge things holding me back. One, I really like my long hair and two, my hair takes for-freaking-ever to grow back. So if I wanted to grow it long again, it would take me a decade most likely just to get it to my shoulders. I've had my hair short before and the pain of regrowing it was too much. I'll keep my long hair!

your hair hurts when it grows out?

Totally. Blood from the follicles and everything.

I think a chubby gal with a bald head would look hilarious.

I didn't cut my hair when I went through chemo, I still had a significant amount when I finished, but my hair was REALLY REALLY thick to start with. I did lose 80-90% of it but was only thin on top, I wore a hat when I went out.

When it started growing back it looked funny, like a weeping willow because it was filling in and giving volume at the base but not at the ends, lol.

I had my mom cut it short, I looked like a dyke for a while until it was long enough to put the sides in barrettes.

Now it's about 70% thickness of what it was originally, but it came back really nice, thankfully unlike a lot of people who get frizzy hair back, or very brittle hair. A lot went gray though.
