That's exactly my logic. The one time I don't throw in is when they all win.

I think there was an article not too long ago about a guy that randomly decided to skip the office pool and they won. It sparked a big debate about whether he should receive anything or be SOL. I never want to be that guy...

which he should not be because he voluntarily opted out.

This is America.

He sued and it was likely settled in his favor.

Look in the link I posted up there /\

He put money towards the pool for 8 years or osmethne, then had a back injury and missed three months of work. His co-workers won 99mil while he was out, and sued because they didn't want to give him a cut.

In the article it says there have been a lot of cases like this, and the prosecutors all lost. Couldn't find what happened in this case though, why I asked what ever happened to him

I never do the work pool thing. If they did happen to win you would be fighting over the money in court until there was nothing left.

you turn in the ticket as a group, so everyone gets their fare share, and everyone has their own taxes taken out.

Ya, there it is. That would royally suck. You would forever hate yourself.

Dont worry I will give my opinion anyways.

If you are getting a bunch of tickets, random numbers are NOT the way to go -- you end up with far too many duplicate numbers on the tickets with the lousy pseudo-random numbers they use.

Much better to make an even distribution set of tickets.

When I worked for the lottery statistically about 70% of the winners were "quick picks"

Any number really has the same odds as any other number. Random or you pick, doesn't make a difference to me.

Not gonna be my ticket anyways.
