Do you really think I care about any of that? I am fine with it. You're the only trying to justify something stupid. Hell, I would have supported us paying all of it.
So justification for you is having no ownership in something you paid for, no voice is something you paid for. Justification for me is that I get to own a part of my team, I get to support my team by choice instead of being forced, and I get a say in what my team does...

BTW Cutt, this is the part of you for which I don't care for you. You come on here asking for advice and don't like what you hear so do your best to hurt others. I expect this out of adolescents. I bet Tess hates this about you too. She says something that you have no response to because it makes sense so you lash out at her just to hurt her. I hope you change your ways before your children become old enough to learn this from you.

That would all be fine, except you are not listening at all. You think this is an investment, it is not. It is simply to say I own a part of the team I love. Yet you keep saying its a bad investment, not either reading what I am typing or not comprehending. This is simply a way to support the team I love, and to be able to say I own part of a NFL team. Nothing more.
I'm also not trying to hurt anyone, simply trying to make you understand that this is not an investment, and its no different than supporting any other team via taxes, except I am not being forced to support my team like most of you, I am choosing to.

I know it's not an investment. But I am calling it that because when you buy stock it is supposed to be an investment. You never said what the $250 was for, but I am guessing it is for each share of stock. How much total are you wanting to spend? I am just wanting to make sure you see it from all angles before you do it. I suspect you would not even post here about it unless you have some nagging doubts. I am trying to tell you to listen to them.

I have no doubts, Tessa has those. The funding goes towards stadium renovations and an additional 8K seats. The Packers do not receive tax payer assistance, any funding for stadium improvements (or anything else they decide to do beyond revenues) comes from the fans of the team.

Well, for what it's worth, I don't think a cash outlay like this should happen unless both parties feel good about it. And felling good about it is a lot different than being talked into it. Hopefully you guys will be married a lot of years and if you talk her into it you never know when it may come back to bite you on the ass or how it will bite you on the ass. It may be important to you, but surely your marriage should be more important. I like to think I choose my battles well. I would not engage in this one. She knows it's important to you. Perhaps someday your finances will be good enough that she will say, "Hey, go buy your Packers stock."
That's about the most sage advise I can give on this. Everything else was to make you look with both eyes open. This is the meat and potatoes. Only you can decide how important it is.
