I just had my first bloody mary, liked it a lot because my drink of choice is vodka and I usually just had it with lemonade or orange juice

eh, I finished my 21st off with a three wise men (jim, jack, and jose here) and there wasn't much left of me afterwards. Either one seems like it'll do though

Get started early on drinking a signature drink that everyone who knows you expects you to drink. It makes it easy when you walk into a bar, the bartender will have your drink waiting for you by the time you get up to them to order.
Make it a real drink, not something that will embarrass you when you turn 30, or 40, or 50. Real drinks contain no more than 3 ingredients, have no fruit in them (except maybe a cherry or citrus garnish) and do not involve a blender, and are easy for the bartender to both remember and make.
I'd suggest scotch/neat, bourbon/2 ice cubes, Rusty nail, Manhattan, Dirty vodka martini, Jim Beam.
