H&R Block requires their people to go through yearly training in the same tax code as accountants(assuming the accountant actually does it).
It's the same thing only at double to triple the price.

Yeah, that is normal.
They will keep the medicare and SS and all that to a certain extent, I believe, but for actual income taxes paid you should get it back.

everyone gets their first 5600 untaxed.
then like a 3600 deduction (or loophole depending on how you see it) for yourself and any dependents.
edit: this is why all the people arguing that poor people should be taxed are in essence just wanting to tax themselves even more.

Don't forget to claim the American Opportunity Credit for anything you paid in tuition, books, and any required supplies for school. Also, you might qualify for the Earned Income Credit since you made very little, the last time I checked it was anything under $10k qualified for single people without dependents.
you could easily end up with more than what you paid in.

If that's so, then that's right up my alley....like i said, H&R are good for certain people. I don't have wacky this and that for my taxes, I get the simple return, done for FREE, then $20.00 bucks to get my check in 2 days.
