The Humane Society and I've heard really good things about the Ronald McDonald House. I guess it's surprisingly legit.

Children's Neuroblastoma Cancer Foundation
St. Jude Children's Research Hospital
Along with any local groups that fight hunger/foodbanks...always worthwhile!
