This is probably the most reasonable argument I've heard on either side of it.
I dont see how it diminishes the meaning of lowering the flag for an iconic figure who has passed away WAY too early in her life. If anything that is exactly what lowering flags is supposed to represent. Its a show of respect and deference to the tragedy of a lost human life.
