It's about an hour from my house to the top of Snoqualmie Pass, which I think is probably the closest pass to me. That's assuming 60 mph, and my car will do 160, so I can definitely make it.
Yep. I can easily be on the other side of a 3,000-foot hill in half an hour, and, depending on the season, damned near the top of Mt. Baker. Hell, I could avoid major roads and still get over that hill in the half an hour. Not sure it'd protect me, but it would be my best hope, really.
