To be fair I haven't heard rap lyrics contain any great business advice either, and rap is my favorite genre and I've heard maybe 30% of what the genre has to offer. This is a BBC article so maybe he's talking about some obscure British rap.
The only British rapper I've ever heard was Slick Rick, and he certainly gave some good business advice when he told kids to stop being thugs, buy a suit and get a job.

Foxy there are entire subgenres of rap out there that have nothing at all to do with hate, sex, anti americanism, anti whitism or cop killing.
Its like listening to Death Metal and thinking all of rock music is only about the stuff they sing about in Death Metal music.
