Brats are what the middle class grills, sausage links are what rednecks grill.

If you think my opinion is idiotic, re-read yours.
Dont worry I will give my opinion anyways.
The PvP MMO is NOT a "niche" market, Mythic is just a "niche" company.

Gonna call bs on that one. Must be regional.
Also, gonna call bs on soaking something that is loaded with onions and garlic in onion water gonna make it taste better.

It is BEER, not water. And it is not so much for taste, some, but more for tenderness imo. *And using the beer/onion/pepper remnants to put on the dog.

Parboiling is a completely legit and in fact useful technique for sausages. However, with the exception of the beer, I can't see how adding anything else to the boiling liquid would do anything noticeable, and I'd even suspect the beer of being somewhat overkill.
If you don't parboil sausages, they tend to get very dry if you grill them through, or underdone if you try to keep them from drying out. People get kind of squeamish about undercooked sausages.
I wonder what brining sausages would do... may have to try that.

Actually I cook a great deal and have done so in part time jobs in restaurant kitchens and for catering outfits. I also have a bachelor's degree in physiology, and attended a year of graduate school on a Ph.D. program in neurophysiology. How's your shoe taste? I could probably even cook that so it's palatable for you, but I'd recommend instead that you stop putting your foot in your mouth and focus on eating things that are more healthy and which require less preparation in order to make them edible.

In Wisconsin, I don't think it's legal NOT to at least use beer in cooking brats.
