Shane Battier is one of the premier defenders in the league. Can't just point at Lin, but rather there are lots of really skilled players.

I think you mean Battier USED to be a premier defender in this league. But Lin is getting pwned by Norris Cole, the rookie, too...this dude just cant hang onto the ball.

Battier is only 33 years old, he still is one of the better defenders in the league even if he doesn't get much attention.

Nah I disagree with you there. He's always had a reputation as a great defender but he's fallen off hard. I don't think he's even a factor these days against any decent match up.
But even Norris Cole and Mario Chalmers are punking Lin right now so Battier is gonna look good against him too. Lin doesn't look too Linsane right now...just looks like another scrub out there. A boy amongst men.

Well the Heat definitely prepared for him, and have been applying star-like pressure to him. It'd be foolish to think he still didn't have a learning curve to deal with, as he is essentially an NBA rookie. It's a different type of game that he is not used to, and his defenders are jumping onto all his openings. Some of the mistakes he's made can be done away with just by adjusting his playstyle (like not swinging the ball around so much). He'll also have to figure out how to drive into the lane when the defense is tighter like in the 1st half.

I think Derrick Rose might be earning some more respect nationwide after watching this game. Its amazing how he routinely splits the double team then drives past all 5 defenders and finishes at the rim. Lin can't even hold onto the ball...
Yep...Lin definitely has some more maturing to do. Welcome to the NBA son, you just met one of the top 2 defenses in the league.

What's wrong with MacGyver? I admit I haven't watched it since I was much younger but it is pretty ok.
