Please list one reason that you would support Santorum, Romney, or Gingrich if they become the Republican nominee in the election.

Gingrich should and does have an [R}
Hope Gingrich can somehow pull it out

Romney has the best chance of pulling the independent vote, Gingrich is candidate that reflects the republican ideas of smaller and less intrusive federal government the best, but with his baggage the independents won't support him.. Santorum doesn't have a snowballs chance of beating Obama, the independents will simply stay home if he is the candidate.

All of the candidates are essentially the same with a few minor differences that mean nothing.
Obama, Big government, big spending Democrat, Black (sorta)
Romney, Big government, Big spending republican, Mexican
Gingrich, Big government, Big spending republican, multiple affairs on multiple wives
Santorum, Big government, Big spending republican, pretends to be religious nut
Paul, Big government, big spending republican, vagina Doctor.
Thats pretty much it as far as that goes.

I'd support Santorum over Obama in the general election because he'd be more likely to sign conservative legislation from the Republican-controlled house than Barry would.
I'm not a big fan but I see him as having MUCH less potential for damaging the country than Obama.
I'd support Newt over Obama in the general election for the same reason as above, plus Newt isn't afraid to eloquently argue conservative positions at the media or whoever else is in his face.
I worry that he'd chew through his leash and wander into some wacky areas but, like Rick above, I don't know that he's likely to damage the country anywhere NEAR as much as Obama would.
I'd support Romney in the general election over Obama because he's a solid leader, manager, team builder and guy-who-gets-things-done. He is who I would vote for in the republican primary if I were a registered republican.
