So you were one of the Werner zergfits. Don't get me wrong, nothing wrong with inviting and training new players. I've definitely played against your guys on Gemini. I'm not sure I would say you were unstoppable.
Never said we were unstoppable... but we weren't the first Outfit to 10m Outfit points by playing stupid. We removed ourselves from farming situations, and focused on tactical objectives.

Its an MMOFPS for the computer... though there has been some talk about it being downloadable to the PS3 and playable via that as well.

I wouldn't use OPs as a measure of effectiveness. Spamming invites to any No Outfit person doesn't mean a whole lot honestly. That's like saying Dark Skyes or Azure Twilight were top notch outfits.

This thread begs the question: do the "women" of ACF use a funnel to get that much sand in their vagina or do they just slide around the beach like an angry Roomba? -deadcactus-

We didn't spam invite, granted we didn't really have many restrictions we also didn't have a huge membership. Inactives were booted, griefers were booted... New players were taught.

Really? Here's a quote from one of your officers on the Planetside forums:
"3. OC invites technically everyone with no outfit and a name you can pronouce. We take our time and effort to train them from the very basics. This way we usually have mixed squads with "since-beta veterans" to "15 mins to the game, and gold ammo are so shiny noobs". And this means whole platoons, and more than 2 squads every night with players getting better and better every day! Yes, we play it as an MMO!"

yeah, that's about right, but taken a bit out of context. We didn't run around spam inviting everyone with no outfit on in Sanctuary. If we saw someone who didn't have an outfit we asked if they were looking for one and asked if they would like to join. Players had to join a squad and play with us before actually being invited.

That's pretty much the definition of a zergfit, man. But that's not a negative, the game need outfits that will take new players and help them in the game.

Yeah we were a zergfit, but we were a structured and focused zergfit. We kicked tons of people everyday. As I said you had to be active and willing to learn.
We were basically set up into 3 sections... You had the Elite Squad, The Academy, and The nooblets. There was a bit of crossover naturally with ES and the Academy... IE: I was primarily part of The Academy and focused on teaching the game to new players and learning them proper tactics and stuff, but I also regularly ran with the Elite Squad as a Gal pilot and Support. No one had my Gal piloting skills, if you needed a Gal parked upside down on a tree top... I was da man.

That's a similar structure to some of the larger Emerald outfits. My outfit only takes extremely experienced people after trials that can last a month or so. A few have been from the outfit like yours that introduced them to the game.
I really hope they deliver what they're promising. We've already got SOE to drop their stupid region lock plan, so now Euros can play with US folks. I like what they're doing so far, and I've played PS1 since day of release. No other game has offered anything like PS1 and I'm really hoping PS2 can make that experience even more awesome.
