Of course this lawyer was complaining before congress about a college medical plan for students not covering birth control. Those plans are intended for catastrophic coverage and not everyday coverage, if they were for everyday care the students would not be able to afford them.
This whole thing is a load of crap and Limbaugh, like the idiot he is, spoke about something completely unrelated.

Not sure why anyone cares TBH, he is an entertainer for the wackos. They eat this crap up, its how he makes his money, this is blown way out of proportion to what it actually is.

Yes, because no women take birth control pills to control PCOS and endometriosis. 
Again, women are prescribed birth control pills for conditions NOT related to preventing pregnancy.
So it's not the 'whole core reason' for taking the pills - some women need them for other health reasons.
My doc prescribed them to me to help ease menstrual cramps. The cramps were debilitating- would literally take me out of commission for a full day, sometimes two. Some people have migraines so bad that they throw up because of the pain, and that's what it was like for me, only because the cramps were so painful.
So for me, and many other women, it has absolutely nothing to do with not wanting to get pregnant.
As ridiculous as it is, though, you know what would solve the problem? Start doing separate packaging. Label one "birth control" and label the other "hormone treatments" and make everyone cover the "hormone treatments" (ostensibly for a medical condition and not birth control). Then the religious nuts would have to quit bitching. "But we don't belieeeeeeve in birth control!" "Excellent, we're not asking you to, or to cover it, only to cover this separate legitimate treatment option for other conditions."

Yup. The real story is that the Republicans chose to have 5 males testify and excluded the only female. A bit odd considering the topic. I'm serious the Republicans should be looking at a White House win plus some congressional pickups if they only had a clue. The Democrats, as politicians, are making this work for them.

What I want to know is why is someone complaining that birth control is so expensive, when you can get a generic version at Target for $4.00?
Edit: Obviously there may be a reason for some women to take a specific name brand to address a specific medical condition, but for the vast majority of women, the $4.00 version should work just fine.
