This is real world, daily driver. I'm way past drag racing from stop light to stop light or trying to see just how fast I can traverse a curvy road.
However, I ain't dead yet and like high tech. I live in the mid Atlantic. No snowy winters here, at least not much.
Want something fun to drive daily, and will be comfortable for the occasional long trip and will last with good preventative maintenance.
Budget is mid forties to low fifties. That's more than enough to pay for a nice car unless you are just stupid rich.
A trip to various dealers looking at Audi A5 2.0T Quattro, BMW 328i, Infiniti G37, and Lexus IS350C pretty much settled me on the BMW or Infinity. Audi is out because the convertible is a rag top. I think the European Audi and BMW are a bit stiffer ride and Far East Infiniti and Lexus are bit softer and more comfortable ride. I'm not dead set against the Lexus, I just liked the BMW and Infinity better.
I really like the BMW. I owned a Z3 coupe for a few years and it is the only car I'm sorry I sold. I stated BMW 328i but may go 330 or 335. M series are certainly nice but can cost a lot more and like I said, I'm not into street racing.
I liked the Infiniti and the dealership is part of the appeal. They were very attentive and spent a lot of time showing and telling. That's nice but once I buy the car I don't plan to spend a lot of time at the dealership. It's still a fine automobile though.
So anyway, for me its a chunk of change and probably a car I will keep the next 10 years or so.
