DAoC was one of the best PvPs (I loved Darktide too, so simple, so epic) in it's time. Of course it is outdated and terrible now. You are making an argument like the musket was worthless, because we have M4A1 assault rifles now. In its' time, it was a big deal. That's why we theorycraft and wonder about what made it so. RvR was the most epic fun a lot of us ever had in MMOs; that speaks for itself more than anything. None of us will be talking about SWTOR years and years after its release so fondly.
