I'm not mad at all. I think it humorous though how offended you are at advise given when it's not even given in a bad tone. But it pretty much confirms everything about your character I already suspected to be true.

The title alone indicates to me that this movie is crap. It's like the Hollywood people were sitting in a room and thinking "What could we name this character that could sound blandly and generically American? Hmm...John Smith? Jimmy Taylor? No...How about John Carter! We got it, that's perfect."

Thanks for the advice Reapist, but I do usually keep quiet in real life when people talk about things I don't like. This is a forum though so I can badmouth a movie if I feel like it. I didn't realize this thread was a "positive thoughts only" zone.

Hey, no I'm not. Maybe the movie really is fantastic, full of great writing and wonderful acting and awesome directing. In which case, I'll happily admit how wrong I was to bash it.

It's definitely not good writing. But it's interesting writing. I was reading this guy when I was 9 so it can't be that fantastic. But it made my imagination run wild.
