Yeah I think all the bullies I had growing up are now nobodies living in poverty. Some are probably dead. I won.

One thing i learned growing up is that its not worth hating bullies. They're actually more deserving of pity than hate, because they are obviously deeply unhappy with their life or themself, to act in such a manner toward other people.

Exactly. Society today is so consumed with teaching our children how to be sheep and not to fight with each other that we've made our children prime targets for bullies. My daughter is taught not to start fights but she has our 100% support anytime someone picks a fight with her and she has the urge to knock them on their ass.

Like Silver, I taught my daughter (and am teaching my son) to not go looking for fights. However, if someone starts it with them, they have my permission to end it.

Ditto. However, schools are taking this "bullying" thing to the ultra-max extreme in ludicrousness at times. A girl at my daughter's elementary school got sent home with a "bullying report" that her parents had to sign... because she hugged another kid. I suppose they should just be grateful she wasn't expelled for "sexual assault".

I've caught myself being a bully once in Jr. High. Was stuffing this kid in a locker. He was the new kid, unpopular and weird. I was trying to show how tough and cool I was.
Sort of realized what I was doing as I was debating putting the lock back on the locker...
Let him out, and made it a point to try and be a better person.
*shrug*
We all have bad moments. Went out of my way to make sure no one picked on the kid after that as a sort of recompense, but I still feel like a bag of **** when i think about it. That had to be a horrible day for this guy and I did that.
(edit: And really I think my motivation is that I moved around a lot as a kid. I was usually 'the new kid, unpopular, and weird'. Felt good to be the other guy for once. At least for a minute, then it was sort of awful)

I bullied a little kid from Vietnam. He was way smaller than everyone else, and barely spoke English, so I did what any kid would have done, I started calling him Ho Chi Minh and V.C. and before you know it, all the other kids had joined in the fun. Yeah, those were the good old days. This was last week when I was picking my kids up at school in the car pool line by the way.

Actually, bullying is what got me into Modding on the Vault. Not bullying directed at me, but directed at other people.
the sad/funny/pathetic thing is we still have some of the biggest bullies here on ACF yet no one does anything about it.
