I don't really understand the point of an MA certificate. It seems like the kind of s--t you used to just find someone off the street and train on the job. Now you have to shell out thousands for a certificate. Maybe I just don't understand what they do...

It's the medical field equivalent of the Office Assistant certificate offered at my school. I can't imagine why anyone would bother with it.
