mechanical drives have been around for a long time, they've continued to make improvements on them.... they don't fail anywhere near as often as SSD.

I got an Intel SSD - it's still damn fast and the reliability factor over the competitors is the deal clincher.

I didnt go with the intel one. frankly I found their product slower and more expensive. perhaps that pans out in a more reliable drive, I dunno. the reviews didnt seem to lean that way though.


I got an M4 which is doing just fine for me

My punch cards are still working well. I sprayed them with a sealer so the machine isn't wearing them out very fast at all.

This is why you pay extra for reliable SSD brands like Intel and Samsung. All these people buying cheaper brands like Crucial, OCZ, G.skill...etc...are taking a big risk

i have several of them now. most of them are pushing a year old.


nothing is in failure mode at the moment (god how i hate typing that).


they were expensive.


and they are fast and i love them..


atm...


and in all truth if you are accustomed to always having one and you sit at a spin drive driven box, after a few seconds you start saying, wth something drong with this comp?
