That whole scene got to her but the point at which she really couldn't take it anymore was hearing that it was, "Carl that took him out."
She might be also feeling like she caused all this by talking to Rick in the first place. I don't even know what she was thinking when she went to talk to Shane,(even if she had good intentions that whole thing was a stupid thing to do, knowing how Shane was).

Am I the only one who was thinking "siphon some gas out of those 300 cars on the highway before you drive off"? because it's about driven me insane any time they've shown that part of the highway with all those cars and they just pretend like the cars aren't there....If anything, I'd be looking for a better vehicle that isn't 50 years old.

I don't know much about gasoline longevity but I think eventually it won't be any good, or just evaporates. I don't think its good forever.

as far as the shows timeline goes only a few months have passed.

If that's the case, then yeah, I would have gas cans and hoses and constantly be checking any car in sight for gas. Any newer model I see that looks clean, (no dead bodies or splatters) would be my upgrade. My impression was that's how they kept their farm vehicles running but when Sh!t hit the fan they didn't have the time or luxury of thinking about that.

OK I was wrong about the knives thing.... god it was fun thinking I had it figured out for like 5 secs. So everyone is infected, this is going to make interesting group dynamics and how they handle things. Someone before mentioned Laurie's baby becoming some miracle cure thing and I am leaning that way now too.
Everyone might be infected now but somehow Rick's story removes him from all that, (unless you can just pick the germs up on the way). But maybe if he was clean and she wasnt when the baby was made....maybe now it matters more if its a Rick or Shane's baby.

i like that lady metropolis was told everyone was infected last week but god damned if she would believe a bunch of profanity from people who read the comics. fk you and the horse you rode in on. this is the tv show and it will clearly be different! 
the change in rick has been too quick for my liking. i know killing shane was his breaking point but he broke waaaaaaaay too far off to the crazy side. and last week lori was pushing him to fking kill shane. why is it rick's fault she can't keep her spawn on a leash? she's the responsible party for her stupid kid (that i want to die so so badly. i would have taken another season of daryl over carl living for one more episode.) instead of whatever the fk else she does when she's not watching him. i imgaine she's preening her vagina so she can have even more children she won't watch or be responsible for until the last goddamn second when profanity gets real and suddenly she can't find it.
as for the highway, they showed them siphoning gas out when they first stopped there. so it's entirely possible they got all of it they could carry or that was there. you forget that in emergency situations like that, people do often run out of gas. it's mostly from being fking retarded and idling until they're out of gas. but it does happen. so it's completely possible that a lot of those cars had little or no fuel.

Well it wasn't until some people mentioned the comic books that I was thinking I was wrong and even then, they have parted ways from the comics that I thought maybe this time this makes sense. I am trying to make sense of things based on what I see on the show. I haven't read any books.
