You would rather have Locker than Manning??????
TBH I think I would rather have Locker than Manning, at least in the situation that the Titans are in. They arent in a position that they will be winning a Superbowl this year or probably next. No sense in bankrupting your future for one guy.
That is basically it.
If the Titans got Manning, it still didn't equal a Superbowl win for definite.
Rather than have Locker sit for 2-3 years and the Titans have to resign him after his rookie contract without knowing if he can pull the weight of the team or not, now the FO will know if he is the guy.
Also, lot's of statistics go against Manning returning to the promised land with a new team. I would rather squeak into the playoffs and then win it all, then win all my games during regular season, and lose first game of the playoffs.

If Alex Smith signs with Miami this will complete my NFL off season. Would love to see the Niners take a step or three back.
Smith aint going anywhere. He only had one good season in his 6 year career. No other team will pay him what the niners are offering, let alone what he's asking for.

I saw the best minds of my generation destroyed by madness,
starving hysterical naked, dragging themselves through the streets,
angelheaded hipsters burning for the ancient heavenly connection
to the starry dynamo in the machinery of night.

Mangler had an accident on the way home from the liquor store. He was run off the road and crashed into a woman's clinic. It was one giant Pabst smear.

Manning won't even make it through the season with Denver's pass blocking. He can't move like Tebow did.
