That one sign is just a typical of people wanting a free ride... you have the right to pay for what you want.

A wise old owl lived in an oak
The more he heard, the less he spoke
The less he spoke, the more he heard
Why can't we be like that wize old bird

glad I graduated and got out while I could. in the last two years i was just scheduling whatever class I could get into that would help me finish, at whatever time. our library was under construction and the school was over-enrolled so if you had to stay at school and study all day every day like me you ended up on a bench or on the floor or snuck into a classroom to try and get any studying done. the only truly quiet space that was indoors was empty hallways and classrooms you could find.

I can't even imagine how anyone working a lot or just going part-time could even finish nowadays. that's for a big major like biology. scary, it's too bad republicans want the country to go back to the 1700's where people put pictures on signs because no one could read.

It sucks - but what are you going to do? Sac State froze enrollment due to the budget cuts and the fact that they had less professors and classes available due to furloughs in California. They're still suffering.

It's nearly impossible to get required classes in order to graduate. My boyfriend was lucky to get his last classes this semester, and one class he was only admitted to because he had his counselor write a letter to the professor informing him that it was the last class he needed for graduation. I'm only worried for how this will pan out when he finishes applying for school to get his master's. I know for a fact that he's not getting into any school in California due to the cuts.

What really sucks is that when the economy first started going down the ****hole, everyone said the best place to be was in school. People who were out of the job, or only working part time saw the value in this and enrolled into community colleges - now they can't even get to a university to get their bachelors/masters/whatever it may be. Which happens to be my problem. So I'm stuck with my 3 A/A's until I can figure out wtf I'm going to do. Probably gonna end up in college wherever the bf ends up.

because there are no private colleges at all in california, right?

It's difficult but that's what I had to do. I was working since I got to college so I could pay for tuition. Major wasn't that easy either in engineering

Man, not that I can say I am really surprised considering this state spends money like a drunk frat boy is in the governor seat but that's pretty crucial. At least it doesn't impact USC, I am going back to school next year for a MBA

usc is a private school you retard.

Nope, I worked as an 'engineer' with a pretty high salary for being just an intern. Schooling in NC I don't think is as expensive as other places though outside of the private schools. I also ate really cheap stuff. And I didn't pay for my home/utilities, my parents did. I paid for food though and gas

it sounds like grandstanding to scare the citizens into voting for a tax.

I am thinking that they would do what any other school does... raise tuition and increase student body to cover the gap... who just closes down letting new people in unless they have some other motive?
