The pirates front office seems self destructive to me. Always have hope lately, but they trade away their great pieces before the trade deadline most years.

Self destructive? They are geniuses... they keep their costs dirt cheap and overcharge us and we keep coming back for some odd reason.

People make it seem like the Cubs have never won one. We've won two. And the Cubs were also pretty dominant before 1908.
but then again, sports is always what have you done for me lately.

i dont think i've ever heard anyone saying the cubs have never won one, let alone 2,
but you are right, it really is about what they have done lately...and the very early 1900's certainly is not lately!

I guess it's the term loveable losers. They're second in terms of franchise wins behind only San Fran. And have the 6th best winning percentage. we just can't win when it matters.
