So the judging for the finalists was not after the 11th. I got an email this morning with the list of the finalists that will be participating at the League of Innovations's national competition - I wasn't selected. My picture will be on display at the Herberger Theater with the rest of the contestants (a few from each college). Anyways, it's good exposure.

i thought posting submissions online prior to or during a competition was against the rules? or is that just writing?


while it looks badass from my perspective...it looks fantasyish...how often does fantasy type art win these awards?



Never heard of a NDA like that.

From my experience, judges favor contemporary art. I've been shut down a few times because of that. I'm not going to change my artwork to please anyone. To answer your question though, no, fantasy doesn't usually win.
