Ah man that was a boring tree hit I was tricked into thinking you were going to hit a big tree face first

Glad you didn't die or anything though.

that looks super fun. I was going to try my hand at snowboarding/skiing but mother nature had to laugh at me. no snow this year

When you're first starting, expect:
Skiing = hurt groin
Snowboarding = hurt wrists, elbows

hurt groin doesnt sound fun... wrists and elbows seems more reasonable.

The way you fall is different for each. With boarding, you're usually falling face first or falling back, so your natural reaction is to brace yourself with your arms. Plus, to stand up from strapping in or resting is more like a dip (ie, you have to push yourself up from ground to feet) compared to skiing where you usually have poles to help you stand. That means you'll have some seriously burned out forearm muscles at the end of the day.

For skiing, your feet are on separate skis, which can be a nightmare if you get skis too long for you or if you hit deep snow and one of them digs in (meaning the other one continues one way, the dug in one goes that direction = pop goes the groin). That being said, skiing is loads of fun and has its own advantages over boarding. Such as popping the skis off and resetting rather than having to sit down, strap in, and get up from a sitting position.

The last time I heard that music a guy was jumping off mountains. So that is all I could think about while watching this.

Grinding the Crack, by Jeb Corliss (sp).

As an amateur sky diver myself, that guy is my hero. Like I said, I know its boring vid compared to the song.
