Mainly just venting but if anyone has any constructive or funny advice I'd love to hear them.
After three years being together, I broke up with my girlfriend on Sunday. We had been having rough times for over a year, it just finally got to be too much. Not that we fought but mainly we just haven't been more than friends in a long time. So why not make it official?
I did sort of wuss out and ask for a break rather than an outright breakup, but I didn't want to upset her too much and I think she got the point. It was sad for both of us but she took it pretty well. Then later on she asked if it would make a difference if she got rid of the cats.(point of contention) I was worried she was backsliding into wanting to be together, but since then she's been much better and is starting to let me do my own thing.(Vegging out and playing games after work which I miss doing sometimes)
Now the true test is that I have two different dates this weekend and another next weekend. Well, at least two are dates. The third I'm not sure about but I'm picking her up for a movie and she suggested dessert afterwards... So I'm not really sure if I even want to date anyone, though I do like at least one quite a bit, Or if I want to just date casually for a bit.
And if I do get serious, I guess I'd have to move out and get a different place.... I don't really want to, I like this apartment. Vaulted ceilings for the win....So after a long time of trying to avoid drama I seem to have placed myself squarely in it's way.

Till then she isn't your "ex", she is just a pissed off girlfriend you don't have sex with.

Not really. Sometimes it takes outside points of view to see things clearly. Maybe it really was a pipedream to stay roomies. Guess I should probably start looking at other places. Thanks, guys. :-)
