One of the best threads I have read here on ACF...
...I can't wait to see what happens between the two parties - to see how this all falls out. I welcome an investigation as I'd love to see if there's been some manipulation of oil prices and if there's been some sweet fattening of pockets of key individuals in our government by oil companies. One side is going to come away from such an investigation looking like shining gold while the other is going to look like sh*t.

Public transportation has a higher mpg per person obviously. Although in some cities hybrid electric buses are used.

No, not everywhere in every situation. Like in Minneapolis sometimes I'd be the only passenger on the bus. But the whole system works out to higher mpg/person.

No, not everywhere in every situation. Like in Minneapolis sometimes I'd be the only passenger on the bus. But the whole system works out to higher mpg/person.
The whole system placed everywhere in every situation would destroy the ozone and turn the planet into a marshmallow. Public transportation adds to greenhouse gas and should be abolished entirely.
Don't worry, I have an alternative plan. Bikers should be given rocket launcher subsidies. Problem solved.
