If you feel you may have an educational problem, a learning disability, or a psychological problem, then you should consult with a professional psychologist or psychiatrist before you take this test. It is quite possible to have superior intelligence and yet still have difficulties that may require professional help. Scoring well on any IQ test is no guarantee of success in life. Professional psychological help can sometimes make all the difference between partially or fully realizing your potential.

I will probably give my kids (one day) some fake IQ test that tells them that they're really smart so that they get a confidence booster. If the kid thinks he's smart, he won't be scared to take on difficult challenges. If he takes on more difficult challenges, he'll get smarter / more capable. Seems like a win-win scenario.
I like that idea. For 18 years I was told I was a dumbass. That never seemed to help me. More, it seemed to hurt me.

I've taken about 3 IQ tests and get around the 140-150 mark, depending on which test it was. An online test that I took gave me a score of 154, but since it was an online test, I'm not sure just how accurate it was. *shrug* People I work with think I'm pretty smart, have a pretty good memory, etc, but I certainly don't act superior.
An IQ "breakdown":
115-124 - Above average (e.g., university students)
125-134 - Gifted (e.g., post-graduate students)
135-144 - Highly gifted (e.g., intellectuals)
145-154 - Genius (e.g., professors)
155-164 - Genius (e.g., Nobel Prize winners)
165-179 - High genius
180-200 - Highest genius
>200 - "Unmeasurable genius"
That list really is laughable. There is no way you need to have any given IQ other than "enough to go through grad and post-grad courses" to become a professor, for example. Genius my ass.
Since everyone on ACF has a 160+ IQ, it's hard to say who really has the highest.
