first they try and explain his womanizing with that "he cared for the first one" crap and now this? wtf

Technically, the 'he cared for the first one' bit is true to Fleming's books, though it played out a touch differently.

That's true. I wish they would have launched this as a Bond prequel because Craig is a primitive Bond imo.
As I mentioned to Fozzy, Casino Royale held pretty well to the original book, which was the first in the series. Even Fleming's own notes on Bond say he's more or less a blunt instrument. Read the Wiki article.
