His hands and face started turning white. He was at Walmart.

I know several people with this disease. The thing that was so weird about MJ was the fact that it happened pretty much over night, and to ALL of him. The people I've seen with the disease looks like they've washed their hands with bleach or something. It doesn't cover their entire body, and it seems to happen over a longer period of time.

IIRC when it started happening to MJ he decided to just go ahead and get himself bleached so he wouldn't be all blotchy. Don't know how much truth there is to that but that's what I remember hearing/reading.

thats correct. he was highly self conscious about his looks. theres a treatment to take all of the pigment out and he opted for that.

I thought he used makeup for a while before he bleaching as well.
There's a newscaster that went the makeup route, came forward once most of his skin had turned. Can't remember his name, though.

It's pretty splotchy. I've seen it on hands, arms, face and head. Obviously not seen it other places since those people don't walk around naked..

the only "disease" MJ had was mental. he just used that skin illness story as a cover for deliberately bleaching his skin in a effort to not be black, just like all the plastic surgery he had.
