My car hasn't really been safe to drive so I've been walking to work (about 1-1.5 miles) for over a week, I actually really am starting to like it. I notice I wake up earlier and by the time I get to work I am much more awake and generally "happy"

I work 20 miles away and that's by expressway. Not a chance I'd bike or walk that daily.
I've walked to the grocery store and pharmacy before, though. They're both less than a mile away.

Work is 50 miles away. It would take me half the day to get there. There are a lot of coolies (big hills and valleys) between here and there...

Never even though both my work and school are like within 5 miles of my house, there are no roads that are safe enough to ride a bike on.
Drivers around here are assholes to cyclists.
