I got an email saying the board was exploding. If we don't do anything, will our account just go poof? Or do we have to specifically ask for that?

More I think about this the more it sucks..These boards have always been here for me, even when I have not used them for years I come back and here they are..
so many memories so many people i have meet. It wont ever be quite the same.

yeah thats it for me too, i started out VN on the wintersebb boards. i still see people coming back to say hi after all these years.
its cool the big boards are carrying over but we are going to lose a lot of the VN community over this for sure.

- User reg dates will be transferred over (whatever is the oldest date in the database)
- Post counts will be merged with IGN Boards post counts.
Oh good. I don't mind my post count being merged, but I really wanted my reg date from here to be the one to show. Wish they'd update the thread over on the IGN boards talking about the merger though, so folks will know.
And you'll get a redirect to the new boards. That's how it was when the IGN ones were being migrated over.
