I barely remember him or why he left if you want the truth but I know if I started looking it would all rush back (he changed his name at one point right?). I could look it up but out of respect for his work and time here, if I had fired him or he quit over something, I wouldn't tell you about it anyways.

The Managers and myself have "fired" mods over the years for various reasons (some big, some small) and we just don't talk about it and this is a rule I made myself for our staff btw, it was never from IGN. We don't even tell other Moderators except in a few cases where they leaked admin notes and we wanted to make an example.

Basically, I never felt it was anybodies business to know what the reasons were, especially because of how seriously some people made these boards their life.

Why?

Moderators, especially in the old days, put in a LOT of time and effort dealing with this place. Sometimes they put a foot wrong and got fired over it. I saw no reason to try and "trash them" or give them a public flogging over it. Its a game forum. Very little of it seriously mattered anyways. Why make it worse for a Moderator who only tried to do their best (even if they were wrong)? They can hate me if they want, it doesn't matter to me, but I still have respect for them as people and the effort they put in.

Interesting. Among the mods, I truly respected Lok. He was a great guy. It just kind of surprised me that one day he was gone. I get the feeling he stepped down for personal reasons, which I understand should remain private.

What will I do? No idea yet.
I believe I am to keep my Moderator Status on that side and will probably stick around and Moderate ACF. I know I will not get Administrative rights and everything in my head will no doubt be wasted but whatever. We will see.





Osmenthe.. ya now I remember his name before we changed it. He was a good guy overall, a good moderator IMO and intelligent. He figured he was always right. The last part was probably why I never promoted him if I remember right. I like Moderators that challenge me (ask the Managers if you don't believe I want people to challenge our decisions) but I don't like belligerence. He was probably too close to my own personality when all is said and done, but I have a lot of respect for him.

No, I would have to remove the names of who moderated you to prevent you from freaking out at the Moderator. This is the prime reason you guys don't get admin notes. We learned a long time ago it isn't worth it. We CAN do it if we want, but none of us thinks its worth the issues you cause. (No offense Mangler).
