I've been trying mine for aboot 15 hours now. Only about 500 total messages (sent and received) think I probably messed it up (computer went to sleep in the middle). No biggie, I would love to keep mine for old times sake, but nothing vital in there I haven't already backed up.

Thanks for the tool Pris

No, since Prismatic killed Apache. How many PMs did you have? Pulling 75 or so seems to take about 3-5 minutes so if you've got many thousands, then a few hours is about right.

Wow, that explains some of the times. Mine is running 100 in about 15 seconds but it is really apples and oranges so not putting down Pris's code at all.

It's the parsing that does it. Walking the document to get the details and crap like that. Useful if you want formatted output, but pretty damn intensive. Hence why I'll add a checkbox or something so people can just get a dump of the html files or something if they want.

I'm thinking when I get home I might add an option to just grab files like Steelwind does and dump the HTML files into a ZIP for you if you don't want to worry about the fancy shit.

I did it mainly for convenience as I didn't have the time to finish it up and figured Pris had it covered. I have to admit though no database access and no parsing beyond the initial parses to get the IDs out of the saved/sent/unread lists makes it friggin scream. With windows search it shouldn't be a problem finding what you want and it would be fairly easy to parse it out later if it came to that. Ends up pretty big though since it is storing so much extraneous crap with each pm.

Didn't get the chance to get mine over via Pris' thing, I guess it's a bit late now. D:

Send me your info, if you are comfortable with me having it, and I can try to get them before things go down.
