Friday started my nightmare, I've hit the worst creative block 
I finally got around to using modloader... ahhh it makes it so much easier than doing it all manually. So got Mo'Creatures + all its necessities installed again... many changes since I last tried it. Loving it all over again, singleplayer commands, and digging up other mods that work well alongside those ones. In my glory though as I found a baby Unicorn inside my crappy little castle courtyard. Got a screenshot.... seconds before a bear ate it  .
Going to check out that schematics site and see what I can find to create a pre-made castle and village then extend upon those. Mildly burnt out with mc but my own fault for going insane over the past week gathering seed data with loc's of the closest 2-3 dungeons from the spawn region. Noticing that no matter how many times I recreate the world it always spawns in the same region... just slightly different positions around the 0,0,0 area... very nice.
Discovered ogres are actually quite helpful when hollowing out areas, even if you are above their reach they will follow you below and keep digging lol. SO I've learned to build a small army of them and train them to my area where I need massive digging done and scoot along a few blocks above their reach... presto work is done, also discovered after a rather painful battle that they too drop Obsidian, wraiths drop gunpowder and are actually fairly easy kills.
Just tired of dig/build. Going to 'cheat' for some relaxed gameplay to get me started than have my fun going outwards from there.... leading up to my adding the sdk gun mod again (btw when exploring under water equip a bucket and when your air gets low use it, very quick air pocket forms that restores your air. Fills up again fast but your refreshed and still have your bucket

Speaking of Mo'Creatures, has it always had baby animals? Since installing the lastest version I've been down working on my grinder at bedrock till the last few mocs when I moved to the surface to start building a transit system from my Obsidian Farm/Squid trap, The Dig and my lava moated castle. I've been seeing several very small horses which I assume are babies. Even a baby unicorn was milling about till he got to close to the edge and fell from about sea level to bedrock.
Also, has any inclosed grassy area always caused a massive spawn of Mo' creatures? My castle has two enclosed grassy areas and both are so damn packed with Mo's critters I have to chop a few up to reacy my tower stairways.

I've only ever tried the latest one but I've seen the same things as you.
Was weird going to MP and wondering where all the animals went.

I agree. The world seems empty of critters in MP. Something never noticed with earlier versions is that often an animal will seem to follow you around till you log out. Last night had a duck follow me the entire time dropping eggs. Little guy even followed me down into a cave system with a dungeon at the bottom I hit while digging a to lay the foundation for my combo subway/elevated rail system.

I'm out of ideas. I thought I had a plan for the gargamel seed but it's not working out. So far all I have is the largest branch mine known to man complete with a bedroom and bath at the bottom. The problem I keep running into is altitude. The cliffs are at 110+. That doesn't leave much room for building.
I think I'll try -1784338777788894343 as a seed. I have some good ideas for that one. Hopefully they'll work out. I'm going to miss my skeleton spawner but I'm sure I'll find another.
