right but maybe they don't care about where the door is in relation to the open space, so putting a door above a cave counts the cave as part of the "house" and they try to fill all the empty houses by going through the doors. so it would explain why they keep cycling through door to door, I mean they go through a door in one house, they walk through the house, then go out the other door, go AROUND the house fall down a ditch, go back to another house in a big circle. as if they keep trying to fill the empty space but can't decide what empty space they are supposed to fill.

It won't matter. There's no reason empty blocks make any difference. Light level is irrelevant. A dark hole with a door is still a house to them.

Been at the coast for a few days. Should hopefully be on in the next few days if I'm not too busy.
Just wondering, is Dynmap up yet?

Looks like bukkit hasn't promoted that beta yet. I might take the time tonight to update the server and get dynmap running anyway though as it seems stable.

The only village I've seen is the one out in the desert a little ways from spawn. And all they did was slam the doors on each other and all died.
