Well, 2008 but with a really old graphic card I guess, ATI Radeon HD 5700? The one I had that time was a really big one, got so hot and took so much place, I just took it out and store it. I think it still works; not sure yet, but it might have been the HD4800.

the rest.. duo core E8400 3 Ghz, 3 RAM... and well win xp..

You know what sucks.. If I'll update my pc, I've got to go full way.. that means win 7, 64bit, probably graphic card as well, atleast 4 ram and ssd.. which means new motherboard, ram and probably a new tower. which is all kind of expensive if you put it all together.

Also, I'm more worried about old games running on 64bit than on an other windows version, hmm..

do some of the tower these days even have little spots for the SSD? I read that some offer a figure to fit the SSD into a normal HDD slot though.

Thanks

It probably won't be very demanding since it is in 3rd person.

SSDs are typically 2.5" drives, but many come with an 3.5" bracket to fit them into a typical 3.5" drive bay. Otherwise, one can be purchased cheaply. I wouldn't be surprised if some newer cases have brackets or spaces for 2.5" drives.

So my big graphic card is the 4870. Should I switch to 4870?

4870 should be alright. I plan on playing D3 with a similar card. You may or may not be able to crank up all the settings, but it should be a fine gaming experience. It depends to a certain degree on the resolution at which you play.

(You probably won't be able to crank up the anti-aliasing very high, but who knows?)

Most new cases have a SSD adapter or holes drilled for mounting them. Also some SSD manufacturers (Corsair, Intel) include a SSD adapter with the drive.
