None of us had done the "Walk in Circles" quest outside in CoT to actually go into Durnholde, we all got in from the Dungeon Finder, and we progressed past the first boss no problem. However, when we went down to get Thrall out of the dungeon area, none of us had the quest and Thrall wouldn't talk to any of us. No one could start the escort part of the dungeon.... Now maybe I missed something, but all I remember was bombing the barracks to kill the first boss, and clearing into the keep to get Thrall out. Is this just a huge oversight on Blizzards part?

The quest requires the escort around the center area outside the dungeon in CoT, which no one had done. We couldn't go out and get it without running to Tanaris to grab it. I'd have thought with the Dungeon Finder they'da removed the pre-req for the quest, but I guess not.

My question is this:

Did you get your "bag of goodies" after killing that first boss?

If so, you were not meant to continue forward, and the RDF worked perfectly.


Very similar to BRD, and the key required for that place. Sure the RDF will put you in a series of spots where certain bosses give you your "bag"..but unless you have a rogue, or someone with the key, you cannot do the whole place.


So, honestly, did you get your "reward" after the first boss?

That whole walk around quest was always just a plain pain. Should have been removed a long time ago, and still should be. That is one of the more fun old instances and it is a shame to have it remain so inconvenient in the light of the constantly more friendly WoW.
